One of my all time favorite movies. Doesn't matter what time it is on, or if I discover it at the beginning, middle or end of the movie, I am dropping everything and watching it.
Today, I went to my son's final karate tournament of the year. And while it wasn't quite as dramatic, he did this:
And he did it well enough to earn a second place finish in open handed kata. He also placed third in weapons kata, and fourth in kumite (fighting).
Unlike the Karate Kid, they use protective gear in tournaments. Thank goodness! I wouldn't want anything to happen to this handsome face:
